Hoof & Howl

New Jersey Pet Portraiture

They won't be here forever. But their portrait will.

Fine art wall portraits of the animals you love most. Crafted in your home. Hung on your walls. Kept in your family.

What We Create

More Than Photography

Portraits That Outlast Memory

Memory softens over time. The exact way they tilted their head, the color of their eyes in afternoon light — those details fade. A Hoof & Howl portrait preserves them with the clarity and permanence they deserve.

Your Home, Transformed

We don’t sell files that sit on a hard drive. We create museum-quality wall art — framed, finished, and installed in your home. Every piece is crafted to become the room’s centerpiece.

An Experience, Not Just a Session

From our first conversation to the moment your portrait is hung, every step is personal. This is not a twenty-minute mini session. This is an afternoon dedicated to your animal and the art we’ll make together.

Why Wall Art

Your Phone Has Thousands of Photos. How Many Are on Your Walls?

There's a difference between taking a picture and creating a portrait.

A phone snapshot lives in your camera roll for a week before it's buried. A Hoof & Howl portrait lives in your hallway, your living room, or your bedroom and it's the first thing you see when you walk in the door.

We work with the finest labs in the world to produce heirloom-quality canvas, framed prints, and albums that will look as striking in twenty years as the day it you received it.

This is art. Made for your walls. Made for your family.

Meet Kristin

This Work Began With Loss

I started Hoof & Howl after I lost my dog, Jordan. He was my constant for thirteen years, and when he was gone, I realized I didn't have a single portrait of him that did justice to who he was.

I had snapshots. I had phone photos. But nothing that captured the weight of what he meant to me. I had shot hundreds of family portraits for others but too few photos of Jordan.

That absence is why I do this work. I never want another person to feel that specific kind of regret.

Client
Our dog, Parker, is very high energy and we thought she’d never sit still for a photoshoot but Kristin knew exactly how to work with her energy to capture beautiful images that will be hanging in our home forever.
